THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently seeking a Buyer who will report to the Team Lead, Procurement, for an 18-month term position in our Supply Chain Management team. In this role, the successful candidate will utilize their knowledge of SAP for their tasks, develop purchase orders, support the management of master data, and collaborate with various teams in the business. This contract position is based in Calgary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply SAP knowledge to efficiently execute procurement processes

Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders in SAP Fiori and manage the purchase order lifecycle through to PO closure

Execute sourcing events in Ariba as required

Create blanket purchase orders based on contracts that are created by the Supply Chain Management team

Assist stakeholders with SAP and supply chain processes

Work with our Engineering Procurement Construction Management (EPCM) firms to fulfill orders

Work with suppliers and business stakeholders resolve issues related to order fulfillment, delays, or discrepancies
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:

The successful candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of buying experience in addition to sourcing and purchasing services and materials within the oil and gas or energy sectors is ideal

Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are essential, with the ability to build and maintain relationships

Exceptional organizational, analytical, and project management skills; Must be able to balance multiple priorities and be comfortable working with ambiguity

Ability to identify needs and develop initiatives to drive performance improvements

Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contract line items; such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems

Experience with SAP S/4HANA, OpenInvoice, and/or Ariba Guided Sourcing is an asset

SCMP designation is considered an asset
