THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Corporate Data Analytics Summer Student to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Data and Analytics, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, a passion for learning, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The work term will commence May 2025 and will last 4 months.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop dashboards for our departmental metrics and KPIs   
  • Optimize our CI/CD deployment pipelines to improve the delivery of development activities 
  • Develop and enhance our unit testing, data validation and governance processes to ensure the accuracy of our data portfolio  
  • Use Python scripting to manage enterprise-grade data engineering tasks   
  • Contribute to SQL scripting, including writing complex logic SQL statements, functions, triggers, and stored procedures 
  • Partner with Solution Architects, Data Developers and Visualization experts, to leverage the latest PAAS services, advanced DevOps practices, and data visualization technologies such as Power BI  

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:   

  • The position is ideally suited for students entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Technology Management, or a related field and are returning to school the following term 
  • Strong passion for data modelling and development with languages such as Python and PowerShell
  • Familiarity and curiosity with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP 
  • Experience in building data visualization dashboards    
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to approach complex challenges with a fresh perspective
