RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to develop annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and capital expenditure plans. Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance and provide recommendations for improvements 
  • Data management for corporate planning information systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data is maintained 
  • Utilize statistical and analytics tools to derive insight from project performance data and make recommendations to maximize economics 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations and Finance to support project planning, development, and execution 
  • Provide economic insights and recommendations to enhance business performance and achieve strategic goals 
  • Create reports and analytical tools to enhance accuracy and reliability of volumes forecast 
  • Support and report on the annual budget and monthly updates of production volumes and capital, while proactively seeking opportunities for increased efficiency 
  • Assess and prepare monthly reporting on new production volumes added as a result of capital spending 
  • Data management, primarily in Mosaic, including input, development and maintenance of databases, and conduct audits, data validation and clean-up of data as required 
  • Collaborate and provide support on other projects, as required, within the Strategic Planning department 

 
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of oil and gas related experience and will possess the following key attributes: 

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in economic analysis, financial modeling, or related roles 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or Engineering 
  • Strong understanding of economic principles, financial analysis, and valuation methodologies in the oil and gas sector 
  • Experience with planning tools such as Mosaic, ValNav or similar is an asset 
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel, SQL, and other analytical tools 
  • Experience in analytics tools, developing reports using PowerBI or Spotfire is required 
  • Excellent understanding of data structure and experience interacting with relational databases using SQL or similar is considered as asset 
  • Proactive, organized, and proven ability to meet deadlines 
  • Exceptional analytical skills combined with a strong work ethic 
  • Ability to think creatively and collaborate with others in order to find new, practical solutions 
  • High level of initiative and desire to learn new skills, systems, and workflows in support of business processes
