THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Engineering teams are currently seeking candidates for multiple 2025 Summer Student positions across our Development, Production, Drilling, Facilities, and Environmental Engineering groups.

These dynamic positions will provide the successful candidates with an excellent opportunity to continue to learn about the western Canadian oil & gas industry as well as further develop their petroleum engineering skills. These positions are based in Calgary with possible travel to field locations on occasion. These positions will commence May 2025 and will last 4 months.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and contribute to technical projects that support ARC’s development and growth strategy 
  • Assist with the development of internal procedures and processes to further improve the delivery of ARC’s project execution  
  • Contribute to data analytic projects related to department metrics and KPIs  
  • Collaborate to identify inefficiencies of wells, facilities, and pipelines, and take measures to intervene for optimization 
  • Research and help evaluate new technology and cost reduction initiatives applicable to ARC’s operations  
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of various regulatory applications 
  • Participate in weekly field and Calgary team meetings, with possible travel to ARC’s field locations as required 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:    

  • These positions are ideally suited for third or fourth year students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, Electrical, or a related degree and are returning to school the following term 
  • Experience with leading and contributing to technical projects; Including scheduling, delegation, and management of activities 
  • Strong computer and data analysis skills are considered an asset 
  • Intermediate Office/365 skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and prior experience with industry related software and visualization tools is considered an asset 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and can develop positive working relationships with all levels of the organization 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time in a dynamic environment 
  • Petroleum industry related experience will be considered an asset
