THE OPPORTUNITY:
To support our focus on delivering strategic HR initiatives, exceptional customer service, and strong business results, we are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a 12-month temporary position reporting to the Manager, Human Resources. As a full-service HR Business Partner, this role will provide advice, support and guidance to leaders and employees across a broad range of people matters, including talent attraction, talent retention, talent development, employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness and change management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide high-quality HR service through coaching, guidance and advice to leaders on best practices in people management techniques, employee engagement, and retention of our talent

Work closely with leaders to understand and support the distinctive needs of our various departments

Support the development and implementation of HR programs that enhance organizational effectiveness and ARC's culture

Help develop and communicate to internal stakeholders HR policies, procedures, standards, and regulations

Play a key role in championing ARC's unique culture through effective and supportive HR practices

Partner with leaders and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management and workplace investigations

Support ARC's onboarding process by orienting new hires and providing a comprehensive overview of HR related information as well as ARC's culture and unique workspace

Conduct effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations

Support and deliver corporate learning and development programs across the organization

Develop strong partnerships and alignment with the business to identify and deliver proactive talent solutions

Provide proactive support for recruitment activities including interviewing and selection of top talent

Work with the Total Rewards team on compensation and benefits related matters

Build and sustain effective working relationships with external service providers

Occasional travel is required to our field operations, based near Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:

Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline

A minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience

Outstanding relationship building skills and a collaborative working style

A self-starter and a strong team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of the oil & gas industry and an understanding of key technical and operational roles that support the business is an asset

Proven track record of developing strong business partnerships and successfully executing projects

Experience working with leaders and employees to navigate employee relations matters, including performance management and conducting workplace investigations

Strong business acumen, organizational, and planning skills

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs

Sound decision making skills and a proven ability to navigate complex situations

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills

Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and HRIS administration and analysis are considered an asset

Ability to handle confidential information in an ethical manner

Strong work ethic, high level of enthusiasm, and the ability to excel in a flexible, fast paced environment

Proficient with MS Office suite and HRIS systems

Knowledge of SAP/SuccessFactors is considered an asset

Class 5 driver’s license would be an asset
