THE OPPORTUNITY:

To support our focus on providing strategic initiatives, superior customer service, and results to our clients, we are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Manager, Human Resources. As a full-service Business Partner, this position provides support and guidance within the areas of talent attraction, talent retention and talent development.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide top quality HR service through coaching, guidance and advice to leaders regarding best practices in people management techniques, employee engagement and retention of our talent
  • Work closely with leaders to ensure appropriate support and recognition of the distinctive needs within our various functions
  • Be involved in the development and implementation of various HR programs that support organizational effectiveness and ARC's culture
  • Help develop and communicate to internal stakeholders HR policies, procedures, standards and regulations
  • Play a key role in championing ARC's unique culture through effective and supportive HR practice
  • Partnering with leaders and employees regarding employee relations matters, including supporting performance management and conducting investigations
  • Support ARC's onboarding process by orientating new hires with a comprehensive overview of HR related information as well as ARC's culture and unique workspace
  • Conduct effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations
  • Support and deliver corporate learning and development programs for the organization 
  • Develop strong partnerships and alignment with the business to ensure proactive talent solutions
  • Provide proactive support on recruitment activities including interviewing and selection to find top talent
  • Work with the Total Rewards team on compensation and benefits related matters
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships with external service providers
  • Some travel is required to our Field Operations, based near Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek, on an as needed basis

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within Human Resources
  • Outstanding relationship building capability and a collaborative working style
  • Self-starter and a strong team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the oil & gas industry and a technical understanding of key roles that support the business is an asset
  • Proven track record of developing partnerships with the business with a demonstrated ability to execute projects
  • Experience working with leaders and employees to navigate employee relations matters, including supporting performance management and conducting investigations
  • Superior business acumen and strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities
  • Sound decision making skills and proven ability to navigate complex situations
  • Exceptional writing, verbal and presenting skills
  • Knowledge of compensation, benefits and HRIS administration and analysis are considered an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP/SuccessFactors is considered an asset
  • Ability to handle confidential information in an ethical manner
  • Strong work ethic, high level of enthusiasm and ability to excel in a flexible, fast paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
