THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Co-op Student to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and administration for Talent Acquisition and working collaboratively with all areas of the Human Resources team. They will also be involved with a variety of projects and must be able to effectively manage numerous priorities in a high-performance environment. This 16-month work term will commence in May 2027 and is based in Calgary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the administration of ARC's student program, including full-cycle recruitment for summer and co-op students, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, preparing offer letters, and partnering with hiring leaders throughout the hiring process

Champion ARC's unique culture through effective and supportive HR practices

Assist with talent acquisition processes including posting new positions, coordinating phone screens and interviews, facilitating reference checks, and reviewing resumes

Draft offer letters, contracts, and employment agreements and assist with the onboarding process for new employees joining ARC

Work collaboratively with the HR Business Partners to support various HR projects that including analysis, data management, and reporting

Support the management of the student program by attending career fairs, organizing events, preparing presentations, and facilitating communication about the program with the business

Document management and electronic filing of employee records in SharePoint and SAP

Assist the HR Coordinator as needed

Other duties and special projects as required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:

This position is ideally suited for students who are currently in their third year of a Bachelor's degree majoring in Human Resources

Preference will be given to students enrolled in a co-op program

Experience with HRIS systems such as SAP Success Factors would be considered an asset

Intermediate MS Office/365 skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can develop positive working relationships with all levels of the organization

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision, promote continuous improvement, and enjoy working in a team environment
