THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Summer Student to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and administration to all areas of the Human Resources team. They will also be involved with a variety of projects and must be able to effectively manage numerous priorities in a high-performance environment. The work term will commence May 2025 and last approximately 4 months.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion ARC's unique culture through effective and supportive HR practices  
  • Work collaboratively with the Human Resources Business Partners to support various HR projects that including analysis, data management and reporting 
  • Help prepare various reports, dashboards, and presentations on key metrics, including analysis of current and historical trends  
  • HR document management including electronic filing in SharePoint 
  • Complete HR related external surveys such as job vacancy surveys and general HR policy surveys  
  • Support the weekly and monthly headcount processes  
  • Draft letters, contracts, and employment agreements and assist with the onboarding process for new employees joining ARC  
  • Assist with ServiceNow contingent worker onboarding  
  • Scheduling and administrative support  
  • Other duties and special projects as required 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:   

  • This position is ideally suited for students entering the second or third year of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field and are returning to their studies in the following term 
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as SAP Success Factors would be considered an asset 
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment  
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can develop positive working relationships with all levels of the organization 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
  • Intermediate MS Office/365 skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision, promote continuous improvement and enjoy working in a team environment
