THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking an Information Technology Co-op Student to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Technology Support, the successful candidate will have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills along with a passion for learning. The work term will commence at the beginning of May 2025 and last for a 12-month period. This position is based in Calgary. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide timely response and resolution to service desk inquiries that may originate from service requests, incidents, voicemail, and in-person requests 

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues ranging from desktop hardware to desktop applications by leveraging available resources (knowledge base, team members, etc.) 

  • Log all service requests, incidents and accompanying detail in our service management software, ServiceNow 

  • Ensure problem resolution and knowledge base documentation is maintained 

  • Perform desktop operating system deployments using Microsoft SCCM and Intune 

  • Potential for travel to field locations 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:   

  • The position is ideally suited for students entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Technology Management, or a related field and are returning to school the following term  

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 11 and the Microsoft Office 365 Application Suite, particularly OneDrive for Business, Azure Multifactor Authentication, and Windows Hello for Business 

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting oil and gas industry applications including, but not limited to, geoLOGIC, geoSCOUT, Peloton ProdView, Peloton WellView, SAP Fiori 

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, mobile devices (iPhone/iPad), SharePoint online, networking concepts 

  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, team-orientated work environment while switching tasks to meet changing demands 

  • Demonstrated ability to follow defined processes and procedures 

  • Strong communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills
