THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Marketing Analyst to work in our Marketing Department. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with ARC’s Marketing team to support the daily movement of Crude Oil, Condensate and NGL; and operations in the Marketing group. The position will enable the successful candidate to develop essential and comprehensive business skills to support and enhance their career development. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with ARC’s commercial team supporting the logistics and scheduling function of ARC’s Crude Oil and Condensate volumes from various battery/gas plants to feeder pipelines 
  • Assist the Marketing team with price & tolling updates, outage tracking, transportation analytics, crude blending models, weekly and monthly reporting and internal reporting needs as required  
  • Provide fundamental analysis, supply/demand and profit and loss modelling for the Liquids team 
  • Provide commercial support related to accrual and settlement activities completed by ARC’s Marketing Accounting team 
  • Maintain and improve analytics and infrastructure knowledge within ARC’s downstream portfolio 
  • Support NGL logistics as required 
  • Support analytical requirements for all Liquid commodities Crude Oil, Condensate and NGL 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:   
The ideal candidate can be a recent graduate who is motivated and has a passion to learn the marketing business and a willingness to take on new challenges. Prior experience is an asset but not critical. Although training and mentoring will be provided, the successful candidate must be able to work independently within a team environment. The successful candidate will also possess the following key attributes: 

  • A university degree in either Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build high quality relationships throughout the organization 
  • Excellent computer skills and experience working with Excel  
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new software 
  • Superior business acumen and strong analytical and forecasting skills 
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to accurately identify underlying principles, reasons, and facts 
  • Proven ability to deliver results under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision 
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills 
  • Superior attention to detail in all areas of work 
  • High level of personal integrity and exceptional work ethic 
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
