THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seeking an innovative, resourceful, and proactive Production Accountant to join our Operations Accounting team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Production Accounting, the successful candidate will help further advance our focus on technical expertise and the development of our business.  


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and analyze production information and calculate and record revenues, royalties and fees  
  • Load well test, inventories, volumetric data, and sales information into the production accounting system
  • Report volumetric and product split information to regulators, partners, and purchasers
  • Reconcile and clear accounts payable and receivable
  • Update the production accounting system for all changes in production factors, flow of product, fuel estimates, gas analysis, freehold and overriding royalties, and working interest owner changes
  • Ensure that all Joint Interest and third-party revenues and expenses are properly recorded
  • Regularly review property reports to confirm recognition of production, revenue, royalties, and fees
  • Maintain complete, accessible, and auditable monthly production and permanent files
  • Meet all internal reporting and regulatory deadlines and record applicable processing and trucking charges
  • Establish and maintain communication with field personnel, regulators, and partners
  • Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned 
     

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:  

  • A minimum of five years of experience in Production Accounting, ideally with knowledge of northern Alberta production
  • CAPPA designation is preferred, and any post-secondary accounting or finance related education is an asset  
  • Experience using SAP and Metrix would be an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across the business
  • Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and analytical thinking, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while working independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
