THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team in Calgary. Reporting to the Vice President, Field Operations, the successful candidate will be accountable to develop, lead and execute reliability analyses and programs that will drive improvement projects at the site level and support ARC’s vision of Doing the Right Work, at the Right Time, for the Right Reasons. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of Reliability standards, processes, and tools, as well as collaborating with the asset-based teams to actively manage the preventive maintenance program and optimize it to maximize reliability, efficiency, and safety. This is a contract role with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports ARC’s guiding principles of safe, reliable and efficient operations
- Develop and implement maintenance plans and strategies based on reliability analysis to identify and manage asset reliability risks with a primary focus on safely reducing/eliminating:
- Production losses
- Maintenance-repair costs
- Operational risk
- Lead and support Asset lifecycle development and sustainment projects, initiatives, and gap closure activities for the components of the asset life cycle such as:
- Functional Location and Equipment hierarchy, including equipment master data
- Criticality analysis
- Asset strategy development
- Maintenance program development (maintenance plans, items, and task lists)
- Identifying critical and operating spares and inventory levels
- Development of maintenance standards for Safety Critical Equipment
- Maintain the site vulnerability list to ensure vulnerabilities are identified, prioritized and mitigation plans are progressed
- Provide plant support during outage/shutdown/daily operation and maximize plant availability, reliability and safety
- Lead failure root cause analysis, identifying critical spare parts and completing life cycle asset management calculations
- Support the development of job aids and training materials to enhance knowledge and utilization of SAP PM Module
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university
- APEGA registration in place as a Professional Engineer or other Province/territory equivalent registration is mandatory
- A minimum of 10 years of reliability or maintenance experience in industry
- Experience with development of Maintenance/Reliability programs
- Basic Proficiency with MS Office and SAP
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Certifications such as CMRP, MMP would be considered an asset
- Flexibility to travel to field locations as required, with an expected travel commitment of up to 20% of the time
- Experience in the oil and gas industry would be considered an asset
