THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently seeking a Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to Supervisor, IT Infrastructure, this role will be responsible for planning, implementing, and securing solutions that maintain, upgrade, and enhance the stable operation of the IT environment.
The successful candidate will deliver technology-related projects while embedding cybersecurity principles into infrastructure design, cloud platforms, and operational processes. Responsibilities include maintaining and protecting existing hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure against evolving security threats. This role offers the opportunity to work independently and collaborate with experienced IT professionals across multiple disciplines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Infrastructure Design and Operations:
- Design, implement, and maintain server, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure platforms
- Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of infrastructure systems
- Support on-prem infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware
- Provide timely support and troubleshooting of infrastructure-related incidents
- Support and administer Microsoft technology stack, including Windows Server OS, Microsoft 365, Azure, and related Microsoft cloud services
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization, cloud migrations, and platform improvements
- Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
- Participate in change management and project delivery activities
Security-embedded Responsibilities:
- Apply security best practices and hardening standards to infrastructure platforms
- Ensure infrastructure configurations align with security policies and standards
- Support vulnerability remediation related to infrastructure components and configurations for on-prem and cloud services
- Collaborate with Cyber Security teams on security tooling, monitoring, and incident response activities
- Participate in audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities as they relate to infrastructure
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution
- A minimum of 8 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure with preference given to candidates with related infrastructure or security certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, etc.
- Expert-level experience with:
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
- VMware or similar virtualization platforms
- Experience applying infrastructure security best practices and supporting vulnerability remediation Familiarity with security monitoring, logging, and audit requirements in enterprise environments
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Knowledge of field service infrastructure, oil and gas, or OT experience would be an asset
- Azure administration and design and exposure to security tooling or vulnerability management
- PowerShell or automation experience
- Understanding of storage systems and networking technology concepts and experience with C-SOX compliance
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage projects while working independently and in a team-oriented environment
- The ability to follow defined processes and procedures
