THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently seeking a Senior Investor Relations Advisor to join our Capital Markets team. Reporting to the Manager, Capital Markets, the successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the team to produce ARC’s investor relations materials and liaise with key investors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial concepts and a strong business acumen coupled with excellent organization and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with ARC’s internal groups to gather and analyze corporate information for Capital Markets and Investor Relations purposes such as Communications, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Financial Reporting and Mineral Land
- Support the development and distribution of ARC’s quarterly reporting materials such as news releases, investor presentations, and other related investor communications materials
- Facilitate and assist with the communication between stakeholders as called upon including institutional and retail investors, and sell-side market participants
- Assist with the development of investor presentations and marketing materials
- Assist in creating and producing Investor Day Presentation materials and coordinating logistical requirements
- Proactive communications with sell-side institutions and other key stakeholders
- Track, manage and summarize analyst reports and earnings estimates as necessary
- Proactively stay up to date on corporate developments by building strong working relationships within ARC
- Proactively stay up to date on industry news and peer results
- Analyze and compile peer benchmarking reports as required for internal and external reporting needs
- Utilize Bloomberg to pull various reports and analysis
- Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure high-quality data and investor relations materials
- Support ad hoc analysis related M&A, divestitures, financial activities and strategic initiatives
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management on investor feedback and market expectations
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO ARC:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance in the upstream oil and gas sector, or similar capital markets experience
- CPA or CFA designation will be considered an asset
- In-depth understanding of policies affecting the oil and gas sector
- Strong understanding of financial metrics and analysis
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to build and maintain relationships across the business and within industry
- Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work in a team environment with extensive collaboration and interaction across the organization
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage tight timeframes and balance multiple priorities effectively
