THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're seeking a Senior Operations Management System Advisor for a 14-month contract at ARC to uphold the strength and efficiency of ARC’s Operations Management System (AIMS).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of AIMS to ensure operational excellence and compliance with internal and external requirements
- Serve as a liaison between Operations, HSE, and other departments to coordinate AIMS implementation and improvement efforts
- Provide expertise to operational teams and leaders for updating practices and procedures to align with redesigned AIMS Elements, relevant regulations, and organizational risks
- Support the continuous improvement of AIMS through reviews, audits, and assessments
- Provide training and support to employees on AIMS Elements, processes, tools, and systems to promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Monitor and report on AIMS performance, offering insights and recommendations to senior management and executives for decision-making
- Establish and maintain the AIMS Elements documentation repository and supporting applications
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in operations management and HSE to drive innovation and continuous improvement at ARC
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in sciences, engineering, safety, business operations or another relevant field of study, and a Master's degree is preferred
- a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a minimum 5 years experience developing and implementing Operational Management Systems
- In-depth knowledge of applicable operational processes including Management of Change (MOC), Risk Management, Environmental Management, Regulatory Compliance, Process Safety, People Safety, Training and Competency Management, Contractor Management, and Operational Assurance
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements such as Canada Energy Regulator, AER, BCER, ABSA, Alberta OHS, Technical Safety BC, and WorkSafe BC
- Familiarity with relevant OMS Standards and Guidelines from organizations including ISO, OGP, IPIECA, IOGC, and IEA
- Proven ability to lead organizational change, manage projects, and implement processes across diverse operational environments and disciplines
- Comfortable presenting and collaborating across all levels of the organization
- Field experience is highly valued
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement
