THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Business Systems Analyst, to lead the BSA team supporting our Accounting, Finance, Land, Operations, Supply Chain, Geosciences and Field Operations groups. Working with our Information Technology team, this position reports to the Manager, Enterprise Business Systems and requires an organized, detail oriented, and motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside dynamic and progressive team members with extensive experience within the Information Technology field. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with internal stakeholders to bridge the gap between IT and the business creating efficiencies, process improvements, and value for the organization 
  • Evaluate software and technology alternatives to determine their fit with business requirements and impacts on other business processes 
  • Supervise the planning for unit and systems integration testing, approve placing applications into production, and ensure timely and effective problem identification and resolution 
  • Plan, coordinate, and integrate project activities with other IT groups and across multiple business areas 
  • Liaise with all business departments including Accounting, Land, Production Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Reporting and Information Management to resolve issues 
  • Initiate proactive approaches and solutions for business needs  
  • Advise and consult with Managers on technologies and their uses to improve business and operational performance 
  • Manage the IT software portfolio’s including budgeting, financial management, and supplier and relationship contracts 
  • Guide implementations and upgrades of applications and processes 
  • Change management including analysis of business requirements and troubleshooting in respect of department applications and processes 
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to team members 

 
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:   

  • The successful candidate will possess a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field 
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience with a good understanding of the oil and gas industry combined with 3 years of leadership experience 
  • Experience in executing teamwork through planning and organizing collaboration across various departments within the business to optimize results   
  • Ability to make critical decisions with the vision and understanding of the impacts 
  • Strong understanding of the integration points with SAP such as BTP, Financial Management, Project Systems, Cash and Treasury, Ariba, SuccessFactors, Enterprise Asset Management, as well as Procure to Pay solutions such as Enverus OpenInvoice and OpenTicket 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with all levels within the business 
  • Experience with software testing and project management while able to work through complex issues
