THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Total Rewards Advisor to work in our Human Resources department. This is a dynamic, full-time permanent position based in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards and Corporate Governance, this individual will participate in the design, development, and communication of compensation programs for ARC Resources. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administration of the company's total rewards programs 
  • Provide ongoing consultation and subject-matter expertise on reward-related policies, programs and practices  
  • Conduct market assessments, trend analysis, and recommendations for program enhancements  
  • Utilize HRIS, Excel, and other sources of information to extract, analyze, and report on internal compensation trends, as well as pursue opportunities for system and process improvements  
  • Develop communication materials to enhance awareness and understanding of compensation initiatives with HR Business Partners, leadership and Board members  
  • Lead the annual reward review including development of the compensation review planning calendar, training materials, liaising with IT on planning tool technical issues, and providing advice to HR Business Partners and leaders throughout the planning cycle  
  • Test compensation planning tool and identify enhancements and process improvements for future years  
  • Support future compensation projects, including full analysis and stress-testing of alternatives  
  • Coordinate vesting and granting of long-term incentives on a semiannual basis  
  • Represent the company in industry peer groups and continually monitor external competitive practices, policy changes, and benchmarks through independent research and networking with peers  
  • Quarterly reporting for Accounting  
  • Input and coordinate survey materials, including Mercer, WTW, etc.
  • Lead specific compensation projects and initiatives as required

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:   

  • A minimum of 5 years direct compensation and total reward experience combined with a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field 
  • Highly skilled with Excel and other MS Office programs and experience in interpretation and statistical analysis of market data
  • Experience with HRIS systems is required and experience using SAP and SuccessFactors is considered an asset 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Mercer WIN and experience with Shareworks/Solium, and SharePoint  
  • High level of discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information 
  • Ability to work under pressure with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Exceptional team player with strong collaboration and customer services mindset 
  • Organized, self-starter, attention to detail, and can work independently in a time-sensitive environment 
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and deliver both long and short-term projects with consideration to stakeholders and adherence to strict deadlines 
  • Oil & gas experience is considered an asset
