THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Treasury Co-op Student to join our Treasury team. Reporting to the Manager, Treasury, the successful candidate will have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills along with a passion for learning. The work term will commence in January 2026 and will last for a period of 12 months.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Outgoing Payments

  • Coordinate payment runs and execute account and wire transfers using SAP and financial institutions web-based application 
  • Manage cheque processes including maintaining cheque log, cancelling and reissuing cheques and delivering cheques to various groups 
  • Assist with preparing journal entries

Cash Forecasting & Management

  • Assist with monitoring daily cash position including the following:
    • Updating cash forecasting models
    • Monitoring field office petty cash accounts
    • Reconcile daily deposit amounts in ARCs various bank accounts and update Joint Venture tracker
  • Prepare notices for credit facility draws and updating borrowing spreadsheets 

Miscellaneous

  • Assist with counterparty credit reviews
  • Assist with reconciling daily transactions and deposits
  • Assist with managing letters of credit
  • Assist with creating interest rate and foreign exchange entries in SAP
  • Other projects as required 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:   

  • The position is ideally suited for students entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a preference for those specializing in Accounting or Finance and are returning to their studies in the following term
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through and resolve issues with good communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate MS Office/365 skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in SAP or other financial systems is considered an asset
