THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Field Manager, NEBC, the Field Operations Summer Student positions requires organized, detail oriented and motivated individuals who are ready to work in a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges. These roles involve working alongside team members with extensive and diverse experience within Field Operations. The work term will commence in May 2025 and will last 4 months. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain housekeeping of operational sites and facilities, which includes cleaning and painting 
  • Assist in vegetation management including weed eating of sites and facilities 
  • Assist Field Operations as required for compliance including data capture and asset management of equipment 
  • Support warehouse and supply chain personnel with assigned tasks 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:    

  • These positions are ideally suited for students entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechencial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field or have completed the first year of a Power Engineering program and are returning to their studies in the following term 
  • Valid Class 5 license and experienced driving on rural roads 
  • Excellent communication and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of team 
  • Motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic 
  • Capability to work outdoors in ranging temperatures that can sometimes exceed 30 degrees 
  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks 
  • Possesses a strong commitment to safety 
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications 
  • Must currently reside in the Dawson Creek or Fort St. John area and be able to travel to field locations

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • As these roles are considered safety sensitive, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing, and a fitness to work test.

 

The base wage range for this position is $20.00 CAD to $25.00 CAD. The posted wage range is reflective of the qualifications associated with this specific advertisement. Exact salary/wage may vary based on qualifications, experience and skillset.
