THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently looking for an Integrated Operations Centre Operator. This position is based at the Integrated Operations Centre in the ARC Grande Prairie Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for offering remote operational expertise to support the field operations team in the operation of wells, pipelines, superpads, and plants. They will work closely with a cross-functional team that includes Production Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, and Asset Integrity professionals in real-time to ensure safe, optimized production and maximum efficiency in accordance with ARC Resources' policies, procedures, and practices. The role involves a rotating schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, with both day and night shifts lasting 12 hours each. Occasional travel to field locations may also be required.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for real-time monitoring and dispatching appropriate responses to field alarms while effectively analyzing root causes using rapid anomaly detection tools
  • Delivers fully experienced level of trouble shooting and operations support, pigging support, manual overrides
  • Communicates daily operating instructions and contributes to the maintenance planning cycles and works with the logistics team to optimize produced water and condensate movement in the field
  • Monitors leak detection system, gas and H2S monitors, and reports any anomalies and coordinates inspection/intervention to help prevent API Tiered releases, and initiation of ERP when required
  • Utilize exception-based production monitoring tools to efficiently troubleshoot and direct targeted responses to address volume loss and recovery
  • Monitor flowback and new well production in accordance to ARC’s Sand Management Plan to prevent any loss of containment due to erosion
  • Monitor work alone platform
  • Monitor and adjust various artificial lift technologies to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Monitor sites equipped with CCTV and intrusion alarms to help prevent property

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:

  • A mininum of 10 years of upstream and plant operations experience, control room experience would be an asset
  • Significant knowledge of SCADA systems, PI Process Book, and HMI Operations
  • Clear understanding of control system and process alarms and proper response
  • Significant knowledge of Emergency Response Plans and ERP execution
  • Solid knowledge of digital ways of working and proficient knowledge in MS Office
  • Significant experience in a technical operating environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to HSE performance and delivering safe production
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, demonstrating the ability to adjust priorities based on business need
  • Ability to be candid and respectfully challenge current ways of working to continuously improve the business
  • Good communication skills across multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • The shift schedule for this role is 12 hours per day on a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation, working days and nights
  • As this role is considered safety sensitive, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing, and a fitness to work test
